Zuriel Lucasi (Ambaguio) and Dominique Lucasi (Bayombong) carry the banner of Nueva Vizcaya, Region 2, Cagayan Valley in the 1st International Paragliding Accuracy Landing Competition in Sipaka Heights, Talisayan, Misamis Oriental from April 27-30, 2024.
Zuriel, 15 years old, is the youngest registered competitor in this provincial tourism and LGU-organized tournament with pilots coming from all over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Together with pilots from Taiwan, Brazil, Vietnam, South Korea, and France, they will be coloring the skies of Sipaka Hill this weekend.
Dominique, 16 years old, is a pilot-trainee being developed for upcoming competitions this 2024. Both are high school students of Nueva Vizcaya General Comprehensive High School and are being coached by Mr. Randell “Buko” Raymundo.
Nueva Vizcaya Paraglidingβs United Grassroots and Tribes Paragliding Association (UGATPAC) continues its tribal pilot development program by sending our grassroots athletes to competitions like this so they can grow in skills and discipline, as we pursue building a Philippine Paragliding National Team in the future.
