Mr. Nuepe Manuel Jr. (Kuya Don) represented the LGU of Ambaguio and its partner the Nueva Vizcaya Paragliding by the United Grassroots and Tribes Paragliding Association (UGATPAC) in the first regular meeting of the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Tourism Council (PTC) on February 6, 2024, at PLT Wellness and Mountain Resort, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya.
Kuya Don shared the continuing progress of Ambaguio’s Paragliding in its bid to win the Tourism Champions Challenge. The Ambaguio Skyport is a 2-in-1 paragliding and tourism hub that aims to empower the Indigenous People of Nueva Vizcaya through Air Sports.
Members of the council expressed their support and excitement as the whole Philippines wait for the official announcement of winners from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Ambaguio’s municipal tourism team has been working closely with Ms. Violet Lucasi, UGATPAC’s founder, in developing creative plans to make Ambaguio, a 5th class municipality, shine for the 1st time in the tourism industry.
The meeting was presided by Mrs. Ruth R. Padilla (Cagayan Valley Regional Tourism Council and PTC Chairperson) and graced by Director Troy Alexander Miano (DOT Region 2 Director).
